It’s cold outside, the fire is blazing…and you want a good Vodka drink. Many Vodka cocktails are bright and refreshing and perfect for the summer months. Enter this Southern Vodka Cocktail recipe I like to call the Southern Chai Sipper.

While some will be sipping on bourbon, the fireside libation of choice, you too can have a drink that tastes like fall! It takes very little prep and is worth the effort!

Brew 4 chai tea bags and sweeten to taste (I use 2 truvia and 1/2 teaspoon of agave nectar). Simple syrup will work as well. This will make several drinks.

Once chilled, combine with fresh orange juice (1/2 orange).

Pour 6 parts tea to 1 part vodka over large ice cube (think bourbon style) and garnish with candied ginger and orange peel. Optional: Add some sparkling water to top it off and lighten it up.

theCollarfind tip: My favorite chai tea is the spicy chai tea bags from Trader Joe’s. Make the chai tea earlier in the day if you would like it good and chilled. I like it room temp in this southern vodka cocktail recipe.

13th Colony Southern Vodka is a contemporary, Southern inspired vodka that is filtered slowly through activated charcoal using crystal clear water. Southern Vodka is as drinkable and as sophisticated as vodka gets.

Who am I? Just a southern momma that loves a good find, a great recipe, home decor and of course a bargain!
