The holiday craziness has set in. If your Trader Joe’s is like the one here in Charleston, the parking lot is packed. Like cars lining the streets because the parking lot is full and inside is just as crazy. So I’ve compiled a one and done What to Buy at Trader Joe’s list for the holidays- from snacks to quick dinner ideas and everything in between.

Snack time

People stop by. Things get busy. Keep these on hand.

*I keep a few charcuterie items on hand at all times, specifically the Unexpected Cheddar and 1,000 day old gouda. These pair well with fig and olive crisps. Add a meat tray and truffled marcona almonds and you are good to go.

*Veggie nests are quick and easy to heat up for the kids.

*Vegetable Pad Thai is great for lunch.

*Tomato spread. I have used this on cream cheese, avocado toast and over roated asparagus. Clearly, I’m a fan!

Supper Ideas

*Shaved Brussel Sprouts- The only place I can find them in town. Combine with ceasar dressing, parmesan cheese and lemon for a take on a ceasar salad that lasts in the fridge for days. Add grilled chicken to make it more filling.

*Veggie Stir Fry- I keep this in the freezer at all times. Add leftover grilled chicken or steak or an egg for more protein. Quick and easy, which is the kind of meal we need during the holidays. This is definitely on the list of what to buy at Trader Joe’s!

*Beef and Broccoli- My husband is a fan. I add mushrooms and serve over cauliflower rice. Serve with roasted sliced zucchini with shredded unexpected cheddar on top on the side.

Sweet Treats

*TJ’s lemon curd with ginger snaps is the best sweet treat. It would be great served with gingerbread cookies and fresh strawberries too.

*Chocolate croissants are great to leave out on Christmas Eve and heat up Christmas morning.

*And…the Best Bubbles for the price. Buy several bottles, you will be glad you did. I mean $5.99- can’t beat that! Gran some chili mango slice or dried orange slices as a fun garnish.

*Winter Wassail is great in a cocktail or on the stove to make the house smell good—like you’ve been cooking all day.

Grab a Last Minute gift

*Mediterranean olive oils are great with crusty bread for dipping.

*Ginger beard spiced stout is a great gift to take to the neighbors or stick in your husband’s stocking.
