Cue the Stevie Wonder song, “Isn’t she lovely?” Above is the lamp that stole the show at our recent housewarming party, and added a little glam to our dining room decor. In fact, we had more questions about these tassel lamps than almost anything in the house that we completely gutted. Truth: The men wanted to know about the renovation timeline and the women wanted to know about the lamps! They wanted to reach out and touch them to feel the actual tassels (they are real), and they definitely added a little glam to our dining room. These Arteriors lighting (click to purchase) are my fav!
We placed the lamps on our antique buffet. Antique furniture is beautiful, but often times it can feel heavy. This was the case in our dining room. Directly above the dark barley wood twist buffet is a brass sunburst mirror. Brass is another way to add glam to the dining room decor and it’s very on trend! It helps to create a focal point in the room without competing with the high maintenance lamps 🙂
The grey spotted World Market dining room chairs add a modern touch to the room. I also used a cowhide covered tray. It comes in handy to hold items and protect the furniture but on this night it was the perfect spot for a housewarming gift.
