Let’s put our best face forward during these uncertain times. Now more than ever, we have the time to work on our skin and perfect our make up application. Starting with skincare routines. Below is a list of the best beauty products to buy, with links at the end of the blog for all!

Skincare

Starting with your skincare. As we age, it’s important to have a dermatologist that can help guide you through your specific skin issues. (I have redness, sun spots, and deal with dry skin) Some basics that I love that can work for any skin type include the Loreal eye makeup remover. You can find it in the grocery store, and it leaves no greasy residue! Bioderma is a great micellar water, I use this morning and night, and a few times in between if I ‘ve been sweating. As far as face washes, I use an Obagi one that works well and the Obagi wipes are great for travel!

For most women in their 30’s and 40’s, a Vitamin C and a retinol are important to have in your skincare routine (again check with your professional). I have super sensitive skin, so Obagi’s retivance works for me, followed by an Elemis cream. Don’t forget the sunscreen, is Clinical has a great one that is not greasy and doesn’t irritate the skin.

Makeup

As a former news anchor, I used to apply make up several times a day- SEVERAL! Not only can I get ready fast, but I know what products work, and which ones to avoid! I always start with a tinted moisturizer like this Laura Mercier one. It has SPF in it and provides great coverage, a win win in my book! Hourglass is the new concealer that has all of the buzz surrounding it. I like it’s coverage, but I use a beauty blender to apply instead of the applicator.

Along with Laura Mercier, Charlotte Tilbury is becoming one of my fav make up lines, currently I’m using their powder, eyeshadow and lipsticks daily, all from the Pillow Talk line. And for the mascara, I have tried them all. Diorshow is my tried and true. It’s a classic!
