Looking for a super fun Charleston Activity? Go to the Charleston Wine and Food Festival, and get ready for a good time!

Charleston Wine and Food Festival Culinary Village

Looking for something fun to do? Head to Charleston’s Wine and Food Festival. This festival takes place in March and is 5 days long with all kinds of events! My favorite event is the Culinary Village, and it will take a full day to see everything. Think of a park filled with fun people, tastings of wine, beer and much more, a little food thrown in and a silent disco for good measure!

First thing you need to know: wine is just the beginning in the Culinary Village! This is my third year going and I have have yet to taste wine. It’s not a bad thing, just that we always start in the spirits section and never make it that way! Another tent we do always stop into is the Makers tent: great southern craftsman with all kinds of finds: jewelry, leather, pottery, you name it!

Charleston Activity: Having fun at the Culinary Village

The real reason this Charleston Activity is on our list is for the tastings, of course! I love to sample spirits that we may not know about, and it’s fun to learn about new concoctions I can try at home. This was a California vendor that mixed her liquors with prosecco- Yum!

theCollarfind tip: Take Monday off if you are local and plan to go to the village on Sunday. Just trust me on this one.

Other events this year included dinners, Gospel brunch, a yoga filled Glow Flow, and so much more. Check out their website for details. It’s totally worth coming to town for a long weekend and taking advantage of all of the fun. Another tip: Book a hotel near Marion Square for easy accessibility, because parking is tough.
