Tequila is my spirit of choice. I usually use it on place of vodka for cocktails, and I have come up with the perfect cocktail, a skinny margarita recipe!

Margaritas can give you a big ole headache if you are not careful. They have way too much sugar usually, which isn’t great for the waistline either! So I came up with my own version of a Skinny Margarita! This recipe include all of the flavor, but not all of the calories and sugar. The best part is you can change it up depending on what you are craving.

The skinny margarita cocktail recipe is below, but the options are endless! You can change the flavor, add a fun garnish and salt the rim in a various of ways.

*Want more flavor? Add more mix! I always use an organic mix but several friends make their own or use straight up lime juice.

*Throw in some fresh fruit and change the La Croix or Waterloo sparkling water flavor for a totally different margarita. Black Cherry is my favorite for Waterloo with fresh blackberries in the glass and Berry or Lime for La Croix with dehydrated limes. Add some Grand Marnier on Cointreua and a dehydrated orange slice for another twist.

*And if you are really adventurous, try a carrot margarita using fresh carrot juice! It is so good and the perfect color for certain holidays and football teams. That recipe is coming up soon!

Let me know what you think about my skinny margarita recipe! Oh, and I skip the salt rim, but you can always add that too! For more recipes, check out this link: https://thecollarfind.com/category/food/
