Shut the front door! That’s what you will say when you see the before and after of our entryway remodel.

Welcome to our Closet

When we purchased this 1960’s house it had a closet in the foyer. It was the first thing you saw when you walked through the front door. In fact, a big bonus of this house is that it has closets everywhere. Storage is great, but not exactly how we wanted to greet guests to our home.

So while the workers were here, I floated an idea by them. I asked them to demo the closet in the entryway for me and lets see how much more square livable footage we would gain. (The answer: a good amount- enough to please my discerning hubby at least)

You can watch videos of the renovation on my Instagram page.

The entryway remodel demo took very little time, we we could immediately see that it was worth the grunt work! It opened up the space and made the area more pleasing to the eye. Now when you walk through our front door you are greeted by an antique piece of furniture, fun lamps and a pop of color through artwork. Much more inviting, don’t you think?
