January always seems to ring in with fancy parties. Finding a dress can be daunting, especially after all of those Christmas cookies and cocktails. I have spent some time looking for the perfect dress that fits just right, hides what it needs to and is still in style. As a friend recently told me, “I have looked at thousands of dresses for this upcoming event.” Now you don’t have to, because below are formal dresses for every body type and budget. Anyone watch the Golden Globes? Statement sleeves were everywhere, and that’s a good thing this time of year! So I found this dress above after watching, these sleeves are so good that it makes me consider wearing a shorter dress to the ball! Got good legs, show them off with this cute number.

This dress is a little bit more pricey, but so worth it! The beautiful details around the neckline are elegant but still eye catching. The details also help to define a waistline, which it perfect if that is the slimmest part of your body!
This dress is very flattering. It is a thick jersey material and is available in a variety of colors. (My friend is purchasing he turquoise one for another event!) At the $33 price tag you can afford to splurge on statement earrings and some fun shoes. I plan to wear my hair up to dress it up just a touch because of the material.
