Ready for a drink? With all of the fresh strawberries and warm weather, now is the perfect time to try a new take on a margarita. Here’s a recipe for a strawberry margarita with a twist by adding basil to the mix!
This strawberry margarita recipe is fairly simple, but really good! I try to use fresh ingredients, especially the basil. Grab it straight from your herb garden! This is the perfect cocktail for spring and summer and great for porch sitting and sipping!
theCollarfind tip: Wondering what kind of tequila to buy? I’m a big fan of CasaAmigos, and of course Patron, but make sure you purchase 100% agave whichever kind you choose to purchase. You could also try this with one of the popular jalapeno tequilas as well if you like a kick! As far as mixes, I recommend Tres Agaves Organic Margarita Mix. Stay away from the sugary mixes as they will take over the flavor, add unwanted calories and add to quite a headache the next morning.
I use my Ninja to blend the ingredients, but you could always double and make in a blender if making for a crowd. This recipe should make 2 drinks with a little to spare. I always top with sparkling water for a little fizz, but this part is optional!
