Thanksgiving is just a few day away, and chances are the menu is set. Do you know what to put in the middle of your Thanksgiving table. I’m sharing my formula for a simple centerpiece that cost less than $20 and takes less than 20 minutes to make!
Here’s What To Do:
- Start with your vessel. Think out of the box. This is an antique rice scooper I used above. You can use dough bowls, even wooden salad bowls.
- Use paper as filler as the first layer. This way you will only need items for the very top. Scrunch it up to create height.
- Head to the grocery for flowers and fruit. My favorites are oranges and pomegranates. You want larger flowers like lillies or hydrangeas. Place in odd numbers in vessel. You can wrap in foil with water or hide small vases in the vessel to place flowers in so they get water.
- Use fresh greenery from the yard as your filler.
- Send the kids on a pinecone hunt. Pecan tree nearby? Those work too. This is the last minute add where you fill you need to fill a gap.
Basically, be creative and have fun! No two centerpieces are ever the same on my tables. Below I used succulents as the center component and filled around it with fresh cotton boles, pheasant feathers and green moss.
Who am I? Just a southern momma that loves a good find, a great recipe, home decor and of course a bargain! For more fun finds: https://www.instagram.com/thecollarfind/.
