A belated birthday celebration with work friends that’s so much fun I needed to blog about it! This scan top the list of things to do in Charleston for a Girl’s Night Out!

Hanging out in the Candlefish Library

Looking for a fun Girls Night Out in the Charleston area? You need to try Candlefish Charleston’s workshops. You will learn how to make candles with friends, take a smell test to see what fragrances you really like, have a few cocktails (bring your own), and soon own 2 candles made exclusively by you.

Candlemaking Prep

Located on King Street in Charleston, Candlefish is a beautiful store front, with a workshop area in the back. The prep for candlemaking is all in place when you arrive. It felt like we were in a very beautiful science lab, beakers and goggles included! The workshop leader was wonderful in explaining the process and very patient with our work crew that was a bit chatty!

The smell test was my favorite part. These bottles containing scented oil were set around the room. You would smell the candle in front and then decide on your card if you liked it. The cards in front had the elements that made up the scent, no peeking until you had finished your assessment! From there it was a process of elimination to decide the fragrance for your personal candles.

Candlemaking complete!

I chose a fall scent, one person in our group went for clean, fresh smelling, and another chose a tobacco leather fragrance. All very different, but very much fun for everyone! This would be perfect for a date night, a girls night out or a birthday celebration. Charleston friends, check my Instagram for a special code to receive a discount when scheduling your workshop!
