Need a cure for the common cold and allergies? The sniffles, sneezing and congestion can make you downright miserable. While this Starbuck’s Medicine Ball inspired recipe may not cure the cold, it sure does help you feel a little bit better.

Here’s what to do: The trick is to steam the lemonade and water. While it’s warm, add the tea bags to steep. You need both kinds of tea to make this effective. Drizzle local honey over the top and serve with a lemon slice. This will make 3 servings worth of the cold buster tea! If you want a more monty flavor, add peppermint flavoring at the end.

Fun fact: This used to be a hidden Starbucks drink, now it’s on the menu. I heard Jenna Bush Hager talking about it one morning and gave it a try. There’s no wonder it works. Tea has tons of antioxidants that help soothe even the worst colds. Lemons deliver the blast of vitamin C to boost the immune system. Mint works great for congestion and helps as an expectorant and decongestant. Local honey contains local pollen which can help reduce allergy symptoms.

Give this Starbuck’s Medicine Ball inspired recipe a try! Save money and say goodbye to the sniffles!
