If you’re looking for an easy crock pot recipe or weeknight meal ideas, try these 2 recipes for crockpot pot roast. Although these recipes have very few ingredients, they are full of flavor!
First up, ingredients. Your 3 main ingredients for both: A Hidden Valley Ranch Salad Dressing powder packet , a dry gravy packet and the pot/chuck roast. You can sear the roast fore putting in the crock pot, I have tried both ways and like them both. You are going to think you are missing something but nope, I don’t use liquid! I cook it low and slow until it can be shredded. Sometimes we add a chopped onion and mushrooms, if we have them on hand. I coat the meat with Montreal seasoning and add salt and pepper to taste. And you can garlic, we add that to everything!
theCollarfind tip: If using, place the veggies on the bottom and place the meat on top. I turn the meat and stir a few times though the cooking process. You will know when it’s ready when it can shred with a fork.
Now for another take on this recipe, this one with a kick. Try this post roast and add 5-6 jarred pepperocinis and a little bit of the juice, and 3 pats of butter. I also added banana peppers from my garden to the mix as well. So much flavor, and this is great on sandwiches too. I’ve heard this called Mississippi Pot Roast, I just call it yummy! It’s a great midweek meal to serve on toasted bread with provolone cheese and it has a kick!
What I love about these midweek meal recipes is that you can serve for dinner over rice one night and on sandwiches for lunch the next day. Click here for more easy, yummy recipes. You can follow me on Instagram and Pinterest for videos and more fun finds!
